Did You Know...

Tales of Oceanika

Mahina can hold her breath underwater for 5 minutes and 4 seconds! This is with very little movement. When in full movement in the water the breath hold time drops, as with every movement the body uses more of the stored oxygen.

Mahina learnt this quite naturally from all her mermaiding, and then after going to a Freediving course in Koa Toa in Thailand, she learnt some freediving techniques on how to breath internally. This allows her to stay underwater in a peaceful state, and enjoy the sea life for a greater lengths of time.
